Create a QR code for a website link, text, Wi-Fi network, phone number, email or UPI payment, and download it as a PNG or SVG. It’s free, needs no sign-up, and the QR code is made in your browser, so nothing you type is stored.
The QR code is made in your browser and nothing is stored. It never handles money: payments go straight to the UPI ID. Scan it yourself and test with ₹1 before sharing.
How to use it
- Choose what the QR code is for, such as a website link or Wi-Fi network.
- Fill in the details. The QR code updates as you type.
- Pick a colour and size, then download it. Use SVG for print, as it stays sharp at any size.
- Scan it with your phone camera before printing, to check it works.
Create QR codes in Excel
In Excel 365, the IMAGE function can show a QR code for every row, using a free QR image service. With the link or text in A2:
=IMAGE("https://api.qrserver.com/v1/create-qr-code/?size=150x150&data="&ENCODEURL(A2))Copy it down for a whole list of products, staff IDs or event tickets. This needs an internet connection, and the text is sent to the QR service, so use the generator above for anything private.
Tips for QR codes that scan
- Keep good contrast: dark code on a light background.
- Print at least 2 cm × 2 cm, and bigger for posters read from a distance.
- Shorter text makes a simpler, easier-to-scan code. Shorten long links first.
- Leave a white border around the code.
Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The information is stored in the pattern itself, so the code works for as long as the link or details it contains do.
Can I make a QR code for UPI payments?
Yes. Choose UPI payment, enter the UPI ID and name, and optionally an amount. Any UPI app can scan it. Always test with a small amount first.
Is it free for business use?
Yes, with no limits or watermark.
Can I track how many people scan it?
No. These are static QR codes with no tracking, which also means no data is collected about the people who scan them.
