Open an Excel file without Excel, on any computer, Chromebook or tablet. View every sheet, switch between tabs and search the rows. The file is opened in your browser and never uploaded.
What you can do
- Open .xlsx, .xls, .xlsm, .xlsb, .ods and .csv files.
- Switch between sheets with the tabs.
- Search to show only the rows that contain a word or number.
- See column letters and row numbers, just like in Excel.
The viewer shows values: the results of formulas, not the formulas themselves. Charts, images and formatting aren’t shown. It displays up to 2,000 rows at a time; use search to find rows further down.

Are my files safe?
Yes. Your files are opened and converted inside your own browser. They are never uploaded to this site or anywhere else, which matters for salary sheets, bank statements and customer data. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads, and the tool still works.
